# Funniest books you've ever read

Thinking about an [Indy 5 movie](https://forums.thimbleweedpark.com/t/indiana-jones-5-with-harrison-ford-directed-by-spielberg/2484) set in '70s China (don’t ask!), my thoughts jumped to the wonderful subtle humour of Barry Hughart’s _Bridge of Birds_ and subsequent instalments in his _Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox_. Maybe not the funniest book I’ve read, but one that hasn’t grown boring after several re-reads.
