I’ve reverted to this beach because the other one was too tropical… maybe I’ll recycle the other one somewhere… ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/a/ae02d30645c67f1206c3f770677c50728f429db4.jpeg) ---

Just something I’ve seen almost every day for 25 years 😛 It’s called “the Devil’s Saddle” 😃 la Sella del Diavolo in Italian, the hill that borders Cagliari’s gulf. ---

trying to find a uniform style for the portraits… ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/7/7d0567b359a3140143debcff3d1ebe65227a0905.jpeg) * * * this is the 11-th attempt to characterize “the mom”, following the above style: ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/0/0be9d16536d3bb7b9be67d19126763b7c7f36c09.png) I’m not convinced… too attractive and not comical enough. The in-room portrait nails the character better, is more comical. But it is too low-res: (or maybe it isn’t?) ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/e/e34292ac29d654c0dfd3d7f48fd51012211ee2f5.jpeg) They are too different, and there will be problems when switching from room to dialog. How to make them more similar? I _could_ also change the in-room portrait like this: ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/f/f06d914181be95f0f5ba0ed4d282ff07da0aad6f.jpeg) but this way I would be dropping the better one… I tried to do the converse: make the portrait more comical: ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/8/8c3af4f96465a286c6e3934ce40e5cf918a7397e.png) … but now she looks evil 🙂 . I think it’s funnier if the mom looks kind, not sadistic. So I’m uncertain what portrait to use for the mom. Maybe I should drop this model completely and use the first one? i.e. this one? ![immagine](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/thimbleweedpark/original/2X/2/26252c532f4752dd7f3cebb9d327716a19ad185e.png) ---

Hmm, I did demos that are kind of in this style, just faster because I was thinking more of a arcade game. You can have them if you want. ---
