I actually prefer the toilet paper to be under in the game (as opposed to in real life) because I thought that was a suble hint to just _how_ twisted and absurd absolutly everything about this town is!

Although the animation when pulling off a piece clearly makes the toilet paper roll clockwise without unrolling, which means it is always OVER, despite the option setting

Hah! Would you believe that this whole controversy started with Ron posting a gif of Reyes pulling the toilet paper and NO ONE caught on to THAT!?
Maybe it´s all an [optical illusion](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinning_Dancer) like the one in Mystery Science Theater where it can look like Crow was facing AWAY from the screen although he really is not…

FYI - I’m playing the latest version and I have “in-jokes” off but I can still use the navigator head. I think this is a good balance because it’s also an achievement.

I guess, this was considered an in-joke in an earlier version. But since you can get a shovel now, it makes perfect sense they changed this one.
