does anyone have any new thoughts on the idea of a Maniac Mansion remake now that many of us have played Return to Monkey Island?
I would still welcome it.
Put it in the fake world of Thimbleweed Park for all I care, just let me still send a meteor to space while the characters remain ignorant to the truthy truth!

They are (or were?) trying to develop an “enhanced” remake. I like the approach.
If we talk about a sequel, prequel or another part in the series, I would vote for an adventure game with the atmosphere of “Night Of The Meteor”: A film noir horror B-movie game.

holy crap. The beginning of that Night of the Meteor trailer is a parody of Plan 9 From Outer Space. When I was at NYU I shot a remake / reinterpretation of Plan 9 From Outer Space for a camera class, and I literally used the same exact music as in that trailer. I wonder if they saw my clip??? I made it before that posting.

Apparently not. There is an even older trailer for Night of the Meteor that predates my video. So chalk it up to great minds thinking alike!

I’ve heard Dave Grossman say in a [recent interview](https://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/dave-grossman-podcast/) that Ron was joking when he said that. (But never say never)
