Here is a new game for you. I show you ten images of sidekicks in adventure games and you tell me **the NAME of the GAME** (or series) each sidekick comes from. šŸ™‚ ## Rules 1. Send to me a SINGLE ā–¶ **PRIVATE** ā—€ message containing all your answers. Multiple messages will be ignored, only the first one counts. 2. Whoever guesses the highest quantity of games, wins. 3. In case of a draw, whoever was quicker to send me the answers wins. You have **48 hours** to send me your answers. ## Prize The winner will get a copy of the PnC adventure game ā€œ[Broken Sword 5: The Serpentā€™s Curse](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_Sword_5:_The_Serpent%27s_Curse)ā€. You _might_ need a Humble Bundle account in order to get the prize. I find it unlikely, but Iā€™m not sure because I have never used the ā€œgiftā€ option of Humble Bundle. Wow! The number 8 is an adventure game? IĀ“ve been able to tell one only, maybe because itĀ“s german? I thought read someone mention it here before. I however only have played the second game and also not to the end. Is that still too much of a hint? ---

**The game is over** , thanks to those who have participated. šŸ™‚ This game was quite different from the previous one (the ā€œquote gameā€) for reasons that Iā€™ll explain in another post. Letā€™s have a look at the answers, first. ## The answers (I remember you that you had to guess the games, not the name of the sidekicks) ### 1: ā€œ **Froderick the bat** ā€ from ā€œ[A Vampyre Story](http://store.steampowered.com/app/313870/A_Vampyre_Story/)ā€. The name of the character is of course a reference to ā€œYoung Frankensteinā€. The background graphics of this game were drawn by Bill Tiller, the artist who drew the backgrounds of ā€œCurse of Monkey Islandā€. ### 2: ā€œSpotā€ from ā€œ[The Whispered World](http://store.steampowered.com/app/268540/The_Whispered_World_Special_Edition/)ā€. ### 3: ā€œOscarā€ from the ā€œ[Syberia](http://store.steampowered.com/app/46500/Syberia/)ā€ series. I was quite surprised to see that nobody guessed this character, because itā€™s probably one of the most loved sidekicks in adventure games. When Oscar fullfills its destiny in ā€œSyberia 2ā€, itā€™s probably one of the most poetic and mysterious moments in adventure game storytelling. ### 4: ā€œBen the bearā€ from ā€œ[Annaā€™s Quest](http://store.steampowered.com/app/327220/Annas_Quest/)ā€. ### 5: ā€œGavinā€ from ā€œ[The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle](http://store.steampowered.com/app/354680/Adventures_of_Bertram_Fiddle_Episode_1_A_Dreadly_Business/)ā€. Funny short game, you should try it. ### 6: ā€œLutherā€ from ā€œ[Freddi Fish](http://store.steampowered.com/sub/42720/)ā€. ### 7: ā€œHarveyā€ from ā€œ[Edna & Harvey](http://store.steampowered.com/app/255320/Edna__Harvey_The_Breakout/)ā€. ### 8: ā€œSparrowsonā€ from ā€œ[Aviary Attorney](http://store.steampowered.com/app/384630/Aviary_Attorney/)ā€, which is a parody of ā€œAce Attorneyā€ that uses [the beautiful original art of J. J. Grandville](https://www.google.com/search?biw=1295&bih=702&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=J.+J.+Grandville+animals&oq=J.+J.+Grandville+animals&gs_l=psy-ab.3...2777.2777.0.3994.1.1.0.0.0.0.72.72.1.1.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.0.0.7ILHSzKD7qI). ### 9: ā€œJoey Malloneā€ from the ā€œ[Blackwell](http://store.steampowered.com/sub/13237/)ā€ series. The story of this series has been acclaimed by many players and reviewers, the games also[received a few Aggie Awards](https://adventuregamers.com/articles/view/28100/page18). Joey and Rosangela (the other protagonist) have become one of the most famous ā€œstrange couplesā€ in recent adventure game history. ### 10: ā€œTed E. Bearā€ from ā€œ[Bear with me](http://store.steampowered.com/app/492630/Bear_With_Me/)ā€.
