Under development adventure games that are worth a mention

Typically the first and last days are the strongest. With 48 hours remaining people receive the notifications and unless it’s looks really unlikely that the campaign will make it often people will back it.
And it looks good now!

Also I have raised my pledge from my initial one when I have discovered the project. It seems like I have forgotten to post it here back then.

It looks like it’s making it now! It needs 1400 euro with 12 hours left…

It’s really close now, 200 EUR missing. Kicktraq

Yes, I’m watching as well… it’s about to make it

Edit: they did it

I am happy they made it, but I did not back the game as the tiers were a bit too expensive. Will probably buy it 15 years after it gets released or so. (After tens similar cartoony P&C games like that one with a machine -forgot the title - , Truberbrook…)

It’s true, I definitely splurged on that one. But hey, I got a fairly nice tax return.

Slender Threads (from the developers of “Kelvin and the Infamous Machine”):

This is our new adventure game :
Just started working on it so don’t expect too much, but we do have a very fancy trailer!
Also, it’s not a classic PnC, it has RPG elements and new mechanics as well.
Out in 2022 hopefully.

Oh! That’s the title!

It looks great, and with an interesting story! Hope you finish it by 2020.

This looks fantastic indeed . Though to be honest, the title alone does not really sound inviting. So I did not even click the link. But I did see some artwork, headed to the website, then came here to post my find, only to find I’m late. But not too late to post the trailer for those that also find the title nondescript and/or off-putting1:

  1. I’m normally a fan of somewhat weird or poetic titles, but in this case it just doesn’t click, sorry! (And yes, I read the blog post explaining the title. That only made it worse.)

Hedgehog looking at a mountainous lush green island striped with waterfalls and a clear blue sky overhead…

This has to be good!

Seriously: the art style reminds me of children’s books and movies/series when I was young so definitely following this one

Raiders of the Seven Cities of Gold is a freeware old-school point-n-click adventure game in the manner of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. On December 24th the minigame “The Relics of the Viking” will be released.

It seems like they missed the December 24th release date, unless I’m having trouble finding the link

It’s alive! Act 5 of Kentucky Route Zero is scheduled for 2020-01-28:

I think this might be relevant to the topic: I’m working on porting Kill Yourself on PC.

It’s not a port, I’m actually re-implementing it on AGS, because I thought it could be nice if I finally got to learn to use it. Even if I plan on writing my own engine as soon as I get my new PC.

How’s it written now? Custom engine?

Custom engine in Java using AndEngine as library for graphics and input. For this reason, it’s only been available for Android.

I’ll write a new engine in C++ on Cocos2d-x someday :smiley: so it’s cross-platform.

Wouldn’t it be easier to port the/parts of the AndEngine?
