Raiders of the Seven Cities of Gold is a freeware old-school point-n-click adventure game in the manner of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. On December 24th the minigame “The Relics of the Viking” will be released.

It seems like they missed the December 24th release date, unless I’m having trouble finding the link :frowning_face:

It’s alive! Act 5 of Kentucky Route Zero is scheduled for 2020-01-28:

I think this might be relevant to the topic: I’m working on porting Kill Yourself on PC.

It’s not a port, I’m actually re-implementing it on AGS, because I thought it could be nice if I finally got to learn to use it. Even if I plan on writing my own engine as soon as I get my new PC.

How’s it written now? Custom engine?

Custom engine in Java using AndEngine as library for graphics and input. For this reason, it’s only been available for Android.

I’ll write a new engine in C++ on Cocos2d-x someday :smiley: so it’s cross-platform.

Wouldn’t it be easier to port the/parts of the AndEngine? :thinking:

I tried, but it’s too Android specific. And I wanted to leave Java for good. C++ is life.

Wonder what the game is doing with all that time? Mining bitcoins? :wink:
Also, how susceptible would it be to cheating (i.e. setting the clock to a future date) …
Reading the description, it sounds like there’s some kind of gameplay and alternative endings too, so simply waiting seems only one way to play.
Certainly makes me curious.

Cite: “But there are various ways how to play the game that the players will need to figure out themselves: You can speed up the time by collecting items in the cave and putting them in your underground living room.”

I think it’s been a year since I’ve backed the game on Kickstarter.
Btw., I hope you guys appreciate the developer’s name….
