Thimbleweed Park helped my son learn to read

All people I watched, rotated the mouse around the Y-axis so that the cable pointed towards their body (assuming that there is still a mouse with a cable  ).

Nerds using keyboards while people use mice/GUI? Sounds like youโ€™re confusing being a nerd with not being illiterate.

I think nerds are even the first to use or try new technologies before it catches on, allowing to drop prices while the market grows and the masses (referred to as โ€œpeopleโ€ by you) will embrace it.

I bet real nerds were using mice in the 70s and 80s when the rest never even touched a computer.

As for game interface methods- and point and click adventures in particular: I bet the same nerds saw the potential of touch screen devices and they all have scummVM now (or jailbreak their apple devices to install that).

Using keyboard - or joystick for that matter- to play is more out of nostalgia.

It makes sense. The tail is at the back of the mouse, last time I saw it

It was just a joke.
People make jokes.
Nerds overthink it and give birth to a wall of text.

trolling mode off: your analysis is right.

Yes, somebody called?

To be honest, I would even say most of the forum members are nerds, in one or the other way. Me included.
