Oh no I love my voice when I actually have a cold and it sounds really rough and deep.
But I always sounds so nasal all the time even though I don´t have a cold.
Yep I actually have several in my vicinity. Also (am/used to be) friends with several home recordists.
Adenoids?
(It’s incredible how many new English words I’ve learned since the beginning of the TWP development. Schools should use TWP in their classes…)
@ZakPhoenixMcKracken: Sounds like another travel to Germany…
Actually…yes. I had an operation when I was four or five. And when I was six I had my tonsils removed.
Also my brother had an operation because his septum was too big and he could hardly breathe through his nose. Maybe I have that too, but lighter (because breathe I can).
He might be delighted to learn that I hail from a place they refer to as “the northernmost town of italy”
Prettau, Bozen?
Several German cities and towns claim to be the “northernmost town of italy”. For example Munich, Regensburg or Sterzing. (They are all in Bavaria, btw. )
And this is in part attributed to the high number of patrician towers and houses, I think. And maybe also lifestyle street restaurants etc…though the most famous restaurant and hotel is of a distinct french style (because the founder and owner is a francophile).
Like India?? I will be really happy if u come to India!
Are you sure that one weekend would suffice for approx. 16,000 lines? If I remember correctly, it took longer for Ron, even though he engaged a professional team.
I´m guessing that everyone involved in this fan project will be non union…
A-hem.
So maybe just remove the ones you don’t know and normalize it? Or put it in a separate slice as “unknown”? It’s (even ever slightly) skewing the “Everywhere Else” relative results.
That depends on how fast the voice actors/fans can speak.
I have really no idea how long it would take. But I also don’t think that a weekend would be enough.
For the main characters, it took around 12 hours (3 sessions) each to record.
Good. I think that to record about 50 lines of Teddy the hotel kid, by “hiring” (for a slice of bread with Nutella) a little boy, instructing him, with at last two shots per line…
…I can achieve it in the same amount of time!
P.S.: was the voice of Teddy a little boy, or a young woman?
I´m gonna guess young woman instead of little boy, because of child labour laws. Saves a lot of trouble.
No. Remember that Ron hired professional voice actors. Amateurs/you will need more than two takes per line. So you should multiply the time with three - at least.
The main reason is, that the woman is a professional voice actor and that she knows what she is doing.
Ah, now you´re being unfair to child actors around the world!
Anyway, it´s obvious no children were involved since the only actual child in the game has been left intentionally mute.
Yes, there are very good child actors around the world! But most/a lot of studios prefer women (especially for dubbing cartoons).
I think the old peanuts cartoons from the 60s and 70s were rare exeptions where they were voiced by actual children. That might have been because they were one offs so they didn´t have to care about them growing up and not being able to voice their characters anymore. I couldn´t imagine the Peanuts any other way(and it still baffles me that Snoopy was done by an adult male).
