A lot of (old) German audio dramas for kids were also voiced by children. (Think of the early(!) episodes of “Die drei ???”.)
Yes, this is another reason. 
And from my experiences adults are able to change their voices more “drastic”. So you can “play” more with different sounds/voices/pitches in the studio.
That´s a specially funny case because the actors grew up and still voice them as adults!
That might also be the reason why the whole “what Bart Simpson is voiced by a woman?” has basically stopped now, because after almost 30 years everyone knows this couldn´t have worked with a male.
I don´t know of many cases where child voice actors grow up and stay in the business.
The boy who voiced Wikie now dubs actors like Colin Farell and Elliot from ET grew up to voice Frodo.
You mean working as voice actors in general or dubbing kids? The latter case are mostly women. The only German male voice actor that comes to my mind is actually Oliver Rohrbeck: He has still a voice that could be a teen.
I mean in general. As for women who still voice kids as adults the first to comes to my mind of course is Sabine Bohlmann. I belive she should be close to 50 now, but her voice remains very childlike.

On a slightly related note (man, are we off topic now!) I was pleasantly surprised that the Lego Movie mostly used professional voice actors instead of “celebrities”(which has become a tendency for animated movies in recent years).
Yes, for example, Bart Simpson in italian has always been dubbed by a woman (Ilaria Stagni).
Same in Germany (Sandra Schwittau).
And in the original US version (Nancy Cartwright).
However Sandra Schwittau also voiced Max in the Sam & Max games (can´t remember the cartoon show now) who originally is voiced by a man.

Not True. Union actors can’t work more then 4 hours at a time (1 session). Putt-Putt was a kid and I’ve worked with kid actors before. If they are talented, there is no difference. There just aren’t that many of them working (outside LA), so it can be hard to cast. Teddy was done by a woman actor. One of the reason we did that is due to most of the (non-lead) actors read multiple characters, so she could not only be Teddy, but also (up to) 3 other characters.
Okay I thought this was a thing because children have to have shorter working hours than adults by law, which is frequently cited as the reason for casting twins for television roles (so they can get more shots in by switching them).
For this dubbing, I would like to record the voice of a real little boy (11/12/13 years old).

I agree. That “might” was used to present an hypothesis not any kind of conclusion.
That wasn’t the hypothesis that I wanted to make, though. My hypothesis was that countries with less sales per capita might show that result not only because people are less interested in the specific product but also because there might be a stronger habit to get pirated games. If this alleged habit is the consequence of the economic situation or of other phenomenon, I can’t tell.
Unfortunately this specific cause isn’t likely. Some search queries recognized by the search engine as an attempt to find pirated software are usually removed from the Google Autocomplete suggestions. It’s not easy to see a “name_of_a_game torrent” suggestion and for sure “thimbleweed park torrent” doesn’t appear in the suggestions for the Italian and Spanish versions of Google.
I could also add that, regardless of that specific chart about torrent, there are other (more interesting) sources about how much piracy is diffused in each country and some specific European countries have always show an higher “piracy rate”.
I’m not commenting about fan-dubbing projects but about how much I care about good audio: I’m one of those people who wouldn’t care about the technical quality of the audio if the voice acting feels professional to me. On the other hand, a perfectly designed audio that reminds me every second how awful the acting is would be an immediate turndown.
I have met Ilaria Stagni a few years ago, because she’s the cousin of a former colleague. Back then she was still the actress who dubbed Bart, but later she rejected the role and now the character is dubbed by Gaia Bolognesi. (yes, I was a huge fan of the dubbing industry, many years ago 
)
