That’s true
This is what happens when you press the ‘release’ button on Steam and immediately manufacture those floppies instead of waiting for a more stable version…
Btw. I would have preferred v2 with its gorgeous EGA graphics anyway…
Yes, this one was fine but as a general rule of thumb:
If you break something or make something irreversible: Remember that you can do that but leave it until you have a reason to do it (ensure you have a savegame before trying stuff out and then revert back to it).
Other than that there is only one timed event which could possibly make you game unwinnable.
IMHO Maniac Mansion it’s really not that bad regarding dead ends.
Thanks for all the fish I mean tips. I’m making sure I have lots of saved games. There are a few things I remember from when I tried to complete it a while back (such as the paint remover) so at least I can be careful with those.
Otherwise I feel I should play it as it’s meant to be played and if I hit a dreaded dead-end, so be it (famous last words).
Ooh don’t tell me too much. I knew about the package though. Apparently I’ve chosen a ‘redundant combination’ but I’m not starting over now! I wouldn’t have known that back in 1987 (not at first, anyway, and I had no friends).
I know, I’ve muted it on Twitter though I did see Gill’s new hair which doesn’t affect the series but makes me a bit sad nonetheless.
I´ll leave it at that. Not intercepting the package is a dead end though which you will only discover very late in the game so I just wanted to spare you that frustration (I think that was the timed event someone else mentioned earlier).
