I think this is the “problem”: Most of us have played the original games in the 90s in your childhood. So we are connecting strong memories with them. The new art style is completely different to these old games. It won’t fit to (and “destroys”) our memories. And this is what these critics would like to write: “This is not my imagination of a new ultimate Monkey Island game.”
Your daughter instead hasn’t these memories, she is totally unbiased.
Well, he’s not been convicted of any of the charges thus far, if that’s what you mean but he’s almost certainly guilty of committing the acts. So many men have come forward to say that they were sexually abused by Spacey as teenage boys and just recently, a swathe of new charges were brought against him in the UK.
I think Spacey’s response to his first victim (who was 14 at the time of the alleged incident) says it all, in terms of his guilt…
“Spacey stated through Twitter that he did not remember the encounter, but that he owed Rapp ‘the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior’ if he had behaved as asserted.”
Anytime I hear “I don’t remember the incident”, as opposed to an outright denial, is a massive red flag, as is Spacey then following that up with an apology for inappropriate behaviour and blaming it on drink.
My strategy is: I play them on the big TV while they eat lunch/dinner. It is special edition for the voice acting, but I switch it to classic mode at specific points when it would be a crime not to do so (e.g. all the closeups, the cannon trick where the pot disappears from inventory just when you hit the ground, the mansion fight, the grog-jail puzzle).
That’s a good direction! Yesterday I tried to find something having the same meaning (“you are not even human”) but didn’t find anything caustic enough for my taste.
Man, if Ron would add the “abhorrent” one in RtMI I would actually roll on the floor laughing, in the literal sense.
It would be a good way to transform negativity into joy for the players.
True.
Yes, that one works well for any bad description of the adversary. But I was hoping for something specific for this insult.
More than courage, I’m full to the brim with the necessary quantity of idiocy.
Said that, I don’t want to use public social media to (possibly) reach him nor I want to bother people who might speak to him.
I’m sure that this discussion board would be a useful place for him to acquire polite suggestions and feedback, but the RtMI project isn’t (by design) open to contributions by fans as TWP was.
I’m OK with our ideas remaining confined here, used among us to just have fun.
