I can’t believe it but the translation’s done guys
@Someone : I hope you enjoy it (and solve the first puzzle )
@Frenzie: that puzzle you were stuck on should now be more intuitive (I hope) .
Remember to start a new game from the options. don’t continue the existing one.
I haven’t had time to restore the graphical map. I will put it back soon. As of now, it’s black and white.
I haven’t had time to wire all the exits, so you can only move out of most locations via the map. (that could be confusing. You better only use the map to move, for now)
I’ll keep handling new combinations each day for a while…
be sure to ask the priest to chop the wood, and other things!
On my list of cutscenes to draw: girls hiding in the closet, another underwater scene showing the dead pirate, the IRS employee crushing a pencil in his fist… I’m also remaking the dam location from scratch.
I’ve found a way to remove the “disguise yourself as” verb, which required a mechanics that is unusual, and the player could feel cheated.
I will replace it with many different costumes in the inventory. You need to wear the correct costume in the correct location.
This works, in the sense that 1) it’s no big giveaway if you see that costume in the inventory, because there are many others, and 2) it can’t be solved by accident, because you need to wear it in the correct location.
However, this way I’ll lose the joke that used to happen when you solved the “disguise yourself” puzzle (about a certain character getting naked in front of two little girls). I found a way to put it back in, but it’s a bit tricky to make it feel natural…
will implement the redesign, and the costumes, in the next few days.
Thanks. In the meantime the UI has changed again. I won’t even explain it this time (but you can see it online)
By tuesday next week I’ll have finished the redesign of the disguise puzzle and added the costumes. (But the game works even with the current implementation)
