The visuals are looking great but cyberpunk again? There were so many cyberpunk adventures in the recent past.
I wonder why so many adventure game designer select cyberpunk or mystery as their theme.

Well yeah, but I guess you could replace cyberpunk with almost any subgenre and would not be wrong 
.
Though I think I haven’t seen many (high) fantasy / medieval-themed games these past years. Even something like Near-Mage was basically modern day / urban fantasy.

The Kingdom Come and Plague Tale franchises are both pretty big.
I assume @Someone was referring specifically to P&C adventures. At least I was.
But yeah, if you look at (c)RPGs, Action or Strategy games, there’s plenty of fantasy or medieval stuff to be found.

Cyberpunk has become the low hanging fruit of adventure game storytelling. And high fantasies were always the low hanging fruit of CRPG storytelling.

Yes. There are many settings and themes that weren’t used (often) in an adventure game. For example there are not much adventure games set in a hospital - the only one I remember is Edna. AFAIR Eco Quest was the last one covering diving and the deep sea.
