Actually it’s more of a reggae shrug kinda-thing-a-me-jig. (Don’t worry, I can pull it off.)
I showed you my spaghetti now you owe me this!
I’m not sure that’s a fair trade
I´m talking about my food you guys!
Next time I put them on my head on do some reggae dancin’…
Would’ve been worse if you said the other thing
Also it would probably change the meaning of your definition of a fair trade.
That spoiler tag makes me think more of the opening scene of Barbarella.
Oh great, as if our conversation didn´t have enough nudity already.
I really like the music in this part.
It’s a nice, tranquil tune but what I really like is how the main theme creeps in and out. Subtle but effective.
A video would be nice… we can’t remember all the music.
In general, the iMuse is awesome! I don’t know if it remains with the orchestral re-recorded versions. I have the impression they went more with simple cross-fades, whereas the original MIDI tunes flowed better using tempo changes and stuff to tie any two screen’s tunes by letting one unravel while the other one picks up in strength and kick in at fullest a few seconds later.
I’ll make a video of it next time I play
Yes it is!
The sound design in Mark of the Ninja and Shadow of the Tomb Raider was also outstanding though.
Here’s the tranquil jungle music. Ahhhh, so calming.
I made a video of this one too I love it when that high-pitched flute bit kicks in (the ‘bridge’? Music people?)
The part around 1:07 in your video? Yes, I´d call that a bridge.
Also the opening marimba part that starts at around 18 seconds reminds me a lot of a similar part in this (released the same year, what a coinkidink!)
Only if it has a troll on it
Oh yeah! *bop*
Not sure what kind of sound that is.
Also, while we talk about soundalikes, I wonder if it was intentional that the part of both Monkey Island intros before the actual theme starts sounds (or at least feels) a lot like the Star Trek intro (of both the original and the Next Generation tune, the one that plays just before Shatner/Stewart speak do their intro speeches).
That was me bopping
You mean the bell-like sound?
Yeah the very beginning. Though in Star Trek it´s smaller bells.
