The video game Toonstruck, which combined animated backgrounds with a live actor, Roger Rabbit-style, was one of the forgotten gems of the 1990s. Before the release, it was cut in two parts, but sadly, it ended up a commercial flop, so the second part never got released.
However, the game’s music director Keith Arem expressed interest in releasing the second game, and there’s an ongoing campaign for the remaster of the first game and a release of the second one, so I thought you could be interested:
Signed it - really enjoyed Toonstruck 1, when it starts off it’s kinda hard to tell what sort of tone/game it will be, but it quickly develops into something really unique/great.
I loved Toonstruck when it came out (though some of its darker humor clearly went over my head back then). It’d be really cool to see its second part, so I just signed the petition.
Alas, I don’t have much hope. As far back as the early 2000s, there have been rumors and even official announcements of intent from the people holding the rights. So far, nothing has come from them. So while I’d love to see this petition succeed, I won’t hold my breath.
Thank you for sharing the petition. I know it’s been four years, but I’m not giving up, and I’m glad to see that there are more, and more people signing this petition still. Maybe one day we’ll be lucky to see Toonstruck 2!
