Indeed! They fitted it into a cartridge (Easyflash), on one 3,5 disk (for the 1581 drive) and on four disks:

System 3 has set up a (already successful) Kickstarter campaign to release a “Last Ninja Collection” on PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC. Included are the original versions for the C64, Amiga and ZX Spectrum:
