During the AdventureX event in London, Francisco Gonzalez was the creator and host of a quiz and he used an interesting mechanics: he showed the screenshot of some PnC adventure games in which everything was blacked out except for a detail. The goal was to guess the game.
The difference with the other quizzes that we have organized in this forum is that the detail keeps its original place in the scene/room (assuming that the room is just one single non-scrolling screen).
Let me know if this kind of quiz could be interesting to you.
For example. What ultra-famous adventure game is this?
I may be wrong on this, because I donāt remember very well that wireframe room, but I think that another difference is that in the wireframe version there is no flyer holder under the clock.
I have to admit that I wasnāt sure about a couple of these but looks like Iām the absolute winner after all!!
Just joking xD Congrats @BigRedButton!
I totally forgot about the wireframe world so that never occurred to me, doh!
Iām pretty pleased with my score from memory though, and it was fun - thanks @LowLevel
Iām kicking myself about that big top one as that was my instinct but I ended up putting something else (probably because I couldnāt work out why it would be so small, haha).
Believe it or not, even if you didnāt guess the object I had to give you that point, because you wrote a correct description of the place: āoutside the gates of the circusā.
Very impressive! This was a great game. I wanted to play, but knew I would need to play through many of my save games to have any chance, and was not able to find time. Even then, Iām sure my performance would have been lackluster, these were tricky!
Thatās a scatological interpretation that didnāt come to my mind but now that you have mentioned it I think that Iāll see a toilet paper roll in that image forever.
I missed this game, but I just read through the entire thread. I wish I had caught it on time because I recognized all the locations immediately except one (which I would have gotten after some thought).
This was a great game and we should have more like this, especially related to TWP.
