Fallout: New Vegas is free in the Epic Store

It’s free and made by me. What else?
Congrats! Will play it soon.
Any other recommendations from the Adventure Jam?
I’m not sure if demos fully qualify for “free games”, but here is this Indiana Jones inspired adventure game:
Its humor reminds me of “Flight of the Amazon Queen”, which is a great game BTW.
GOG is giving away Trüberbrook. Bad reviews but the visuals are impressive.
It’s not that bad. I enjoyed playing it. But the puzzles are easy and the story is nothing special/new. The visuals are indeed impressive: The scenes are made of photos of real objects.
I just noticed I never replied I guess you could go to the results page now and check the best ones, sorry!
Steam is giving out Half-Life today. The game is far from interactive fiction, but was surely a milestone in bringing storytelling into the FPS genre.
South of the Circle is free on GOG for another 2 days or so.
It’s one of those story-only type of “games”, but at least it looks stylish. Maybe something to play while waiting for the release of Arctic Awakening .
Zarathustra - Cybergeddon: A Cyberpunk Detective Thriller adventure game. Help Agent Amy Tanner to unveil the occult conspiracy festering beneath the city of Carcosa. Now available as a free download on Steam.
I also saw it on itch.io, for the DRM-free-zealots out there:
Is it good?
The pixel art looks gorgeous, apparently the art and voice are AI. I might give it a go.
The Forever Labyrinth is a free narrative adventure playable for free in your browser, made by Inkle, one of my favorite studios when it comes to narrative-driven games. Haven’t tried it myself, but as it’s free, I guess there is no risk attached (other than suddenly wanting to play all the other Inkle games)
Not a game strictly speaking, but the creative minds in this forum will surely be interested in Steam’s giveaway of RPG Maker XP. Despite the name this toolkit is also quite suitable to build adventure games – suffices to say that it was used to create the wonderful “To the Moon”.
The Samaritan Paradox is on sale at € 0.09 on GoG. Yes, that’s nine cents (in Italian, “meno di una goleador”). It does not seem a masterwork but I guess it’s worth the price
Well, the page says 0,99 Cent (ninety-nine) - at least in Germany. But it’s still cheap.
The special offer has ended – it was 0.09 till yesterday.
Ah, then I’m too late to the party! But 0,99 is still cheap …
By the way, I’m using this site to be informed of any special deals: IsThereAnyDeal . I only post here if I think the game is very good, or if it’s a graphical adventure of at least passable quality. But there are many more games offered for free that one could be interested in.
The Epic store is giving away “The Outer Worlds”. I have not played it, and I was reluctant to post it here because many reviews describe it as bland and generic and many people would probably prefer to pay something rather than have to do with the Epic game launcher. And yet, it’s a free game you’d pay 60 € on other stores, so you can click on “get” now and think later whether it’s worth the time and the privacy invasion.
