I’m not sure if I thought it was odd but I did think it was remarkable.

Maybe another time.
Because of all that criticism on the controls and the level of difficulty, I decided to buy Last Express instead, which was mentioned above, too.
No one knows if I’ll ever find the time to play it, though. 
Since it’s analog NTSC video, it doesn’t need buffering (unlike DVD etc.), thus playback can start instantly, as soon as the laser pickup is at the target location. Access time is everything on such a system.
