It’s crazy to think that we’ll play the game in just a little bit more than a week… I still can’t believe it.
I’m frankly getting a bit emotional about it… I never would have become a writer without Ron Gilbert, Dave Grossman, and Tim Schafer. I see them as spiritual mentors. Monkey Island 2 changed my life, in a way.
I know, it’s just a game, and I’ll probably be disappointed about a lot of things – you always get disappointed when you have high expectations about something.
Still, it makes me so happy that this game will exist. It’s like a dream coming true.
I frankly never have been that excited for a game in my life.
I’m so thankful that this day is really happening.
Sorry – I know I’m just sharing a lot of joy and not saying anything interesting.
This morning I’m just reflecting (again) that I’d love to buy the other 5 Monkey Island games on Switch, and the most recent Dominic trailer possibly aimed at newcomers makes me wish it more.
It’s funny how they barely showing us anything. Most of the clips we saw could be just one small video put together.
They really don’t want to spoil the game.
I’m happy about that. After game is out it will be so difficult to not spoil. No internet that can comment on RtMI until I beat it? I debate but that’s safest! I also want to share the magic of the release and playing with like minded people we have here.
Not a big fan of the “my wife hates me” joke. I know other MI games had them as well and I didn’t like them there either. At least its just a quick one.
Still, very cool teaser. I guess this is before the old gang goes and inflates fish like balloons.
Because that’s the correct grammar. The word ‘The’ being capitalised in this instance is because it’s the first word in a term which designates the importance of a recognised legend. That’s absolutely the correct English grammar, as is the ‘of’ being lowercase (because it’s a minor word like ‘the’ but unlike said word, it’s not the first word in the recognised legend).
Where can I learn more about the capitalization of the name of legends?
Also, is it possible that the fact that Guybrush asks Wally if he has “a map to The Secret of Monkey Island” suggests that he is not referring to a legend?
You’re taking me too literally. The point is that the orthography (thanks, Frenzie) is correct; the capitalisation of the word ‘The’ is not specifically to do with fictional legends, but rather titles or things of importance.
