I forced myself to stop the video when Guybrush is opening the book. I don’t want to be spoiled on puzzles.
… but I’m excited as well, so it’s really hard to stop myself from watching more.
Argh!
Typical incremental hints. Good ![]()
Nothing special to see here: no jokes, nothing. No dialogs even. Just questions like “how can I do this?” and answers like “go here”.
if it’s not enough, you click “give me another hint”. And so on.
We can safely avoid picking the notebook.
I’m not going to watch that one, it even says “Spoilers!” right there in the picture.
Is this the first time we’ve heard the Voodoo Lady’s voice acting in this game? Sounding good.
The hint book looks highly ignorable, for those who want to do so. I think the generic illustrations within look cute.
I watched it. It doesn’t really spoil anything, so, phew. At least, nothing we didn’t see.
Hint: Talk to people in the SCUMM Bar. I spoiled you! ![]()
Hint: don’t talk to the people in the SCUMM bar. They’re all very silly, and might say funny things. Avoid that nonsense.

So you just made me realize that you can complete all of Secret without talking to anyone in the SCUMM Bar at all - before or after Elaine’s kidnapping - and a lot of us do this when trying to play the game quickly.
Actually this isn’t far away from where I was born. ![]()
Ron has updated his blog. It’s the first time after the backlash:
Comments off. He’s learned.
I’m sad the blog has comments off. I understand why and respect the decision, but still.
Send Ron a tweet of some optimism, since he can’t get it on his blog.
Look, I THOUGHT my photoshop of Stan in the backrooms would tell him how I feel,
…but?
no I’m not going to send a butt
