Ron declares he is working on a new Monkey Island

I’m gonna do the same.
You all have fun! <3
It was great talking with you!

I have to stay on-board to continue posting the remaining days left movies/novels, right until the end.

the only surprise would be if this forum was exactly as active as it is now after the release. either it will be completely empty or completely full

Me too.

Yes, and I think that this is an interesting aspect to discuss in the future: how even a positive event like the release of a long-desired game can in some way “disrupt” a small social context to the point of people mass-abandoning the place for fear of spoilers!

I ordered it a month ago… Literally just received it.
Right before the game release date.
That’s crazy.

I said I would probably wait for Gog if it were only going to be a few weeks. I have no idea what the status is on that, but as we creep ever closer to the release date I’m feeling more and more like I may just give in and buy it on whatever-the-fuck.

If that’s what you’re doing, be sure to get your pre-order Horse Armor.

Captain’s log. “Only one day left… Fear is giving way to madness. All kinds of confused thought are now passing through my mind. “On second thought, let us not play RtMI, 'tis a silly game”.”

Given that it’s unlikely to come to GOG soon (though it would be a nice surprise if it did), I’m actually not overly hyped right now. I’ll wait and see. If OTOH they’d release a reasonably priced boxed copy for PC, in a format and style that matches my collection, I’d be totally fine if it was bound to Steam and I’d even pre-order. (So much for sticking to one’s principles!)

Until then, I’ll be skimming over some of the topics, I guess, but otherwise won’t have much to contribute.

So long!

Yes, I’m a Linux user :penguin:
Probably it will be released on Steam, right? GOG would be nice too :grinning:
Which Linux distros will be official supported?

As much as I appreciate the game being released on Talk Like a Pirate Day, and as disappointed as I am in us for not guessing that date (to the best of my knowledge) since it’s such a great day to release the game, I must say that the game should’ve been released today and I should be playing it currently, if there were justice in this world, amen.

Yes, I suppose that a weekend day would have been a more convenient time for many of us.

Tomorrow is such a momentous day in MI history that it’s been made a national bank holiday here in the UK.
(Also the Queen’s funeral happens to be on the same day.)

Welp, I gave in and bought it on Steam. “Bought.” I guess I’m licensing it to play on Steam until the day they go out of business or whatever, and then I’ll lose my precious horse armor forever?

It will live on forever, in your heart.

Elsewhere, I jokingly suggested that Disney should invest millions and sponsor the funeral to promote the game.

I predicted that date a while back but got shot down and told “games don’t release on Mondays”. I also correctly predicted what function the scrapbook would serve and how it would be implemented into the game and how the player would interact with it. I also predicted how the hint system would work and why it wouldn’t make use of original voice acting and dialogue. The moral of the story is; people should pay more heed to what I say because I am awesome :stuck_out_tongue:
