The Ace Attorney thread (hints and impressions)

You guys played Ghost Trick yet? It got a remaster for modern systems about a month ago. Its by the same writer/director as Ace Attorney, Shu Takumi, and is also a quirky supernatural murder mystery. You play as a ghost who has to solve their own murder by saving the lives of others.

It’s more a puzzle adventure than a conventional adventure game, yanno, wherever you draw that genre line. That’s just so you know, puzzle adventures are good stuff too, and Ghost Trick is the good stuff. Beat the rush!

Yep, I’ve played Ghost Trick for Nintendo DS, years ago.
The author is Shu Takumi, the same author of the Ace Attorney saga. The main characters of Ghost Trick resemble those of Ace Attorney. Pets included.

Yep, I played the original and loved it! I’m still on the fence about getting the remaster but I admit I’m leaning heavily toward “yes.” :slightly_smiling_face:

And the next part is out for PC now:

Certainly going to play that, but not immediately. There’s just not enough time right now …

This is such cool news. AAI1 is bad, but AAI2 getting an official transaction and QOL features may have me replaying it. Love AAI2.

Yesterday I finished Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the DSi (I only figured out in the fifth case you can hold Y and yell OBJECTION or TAKE THAT!)

It was OK but it became a real grind once the novelty wore off and the cases got longer and longer and turned into a “let’s talk to everybody again and show everything in case they remember something now they did not before” chore.
I also hated getting penalties when I was thinking faster than the in-game characters who had to be baby-fed.

Yes, I like the games in spite of that but it can be quite annoying.

Miles Edgeworth Investigations 1 & 2, officially translated in English, are available for any platform and consoles, from tomorrow, September 6, 2024!
(P.S.: it’s not “Prosecutor’s Path” anymore, but "Prosecutor’s Gambit, like the chess move).

Demo available for free (whole case 1 for both the games)
