The Ace Attorney thread (hints and impressions)

Finally been playing some more Apollo Justice. Here’s where I’m up to, and what I’m now stuck on:

I’m currently investigating the four scenes from seven years ago and the present day. Two from the present are still inaccessible. In the other two I still have some investigating to do:

- The Bowl Club (Shadi Smith): I need to prove the “missing link” between Apollo and Thalassa. Phoenix mentions a “ring”, but I don’t have one with me, or any evidence that shows one.

- Gavin’s cell: his motive for murder is protected by some black Psyche-Locks, and I can’t talk to him about anything new right now.

I also have one scene to investigate from seven years ago:

- Valant Gramayre’s cell: I’ve reached the final Psyche-Lock, and I need to prove why Thalassa’s death gave Magnifi the power to blackmail his two disciples. I don’t have this info yet - I have a feeling it’s linked to Apollo.

Any ideas on how to progress?
(I wish Discourse would let me hide everything in one go instead of one paragraph at a time…)

I will answer soon to your question, but for now I just want to let you know that… the date of cases you are investigating… are these very same days: April 19 (more or less) of the year 2019!

No way!!! What are the odds! :exploding_head:

Well, about your progresses:

All the four scenes will be accessible little by little.
When you are finished investigating all the elements, the new scenes will open.
Still get focused on the two scenes you are investigating.

the “missink link” between Apollo and Thalassa… think about “the ring” and think about Apollo Justice… anyway, the evidence is in one picture, but I don’t know if you have found it yet.

Gavin’s cell and the black (yellow?) psyche-locks: don’t worry, you won’t able to open them.

About the evidence needed for Valant and Magnifi… you have to wait a little more.

Remember that the four scenes are connected. Some evidence missing in one scene, you will find in another one, even later.

To be able to blur more than one paragraph at a time, don’t select the text.
Instead, type manually the word
on one row,
and
at the end.

I
can’t
find
the
picture
anywhere! :frowning:

I’m pretty sure I searched everywhere thoroughly… and presented all my evidence to everyone…

And I know what should be in the picture as well.

And what are the odds that @ZakPhoenixMcKracken would receive my 1000st like for his observation! You should play the lottery today .

Wow, it’s been over 10 years since I played it. :open_mouth:

Have fun perceiving things. :stuck_out_tongue:

I loved Apollo Justice’s fourth case, because of Valant Gramarye’s brother’s name

During Mason System case, sometimes you get information and evidence by talking with the characters.

Try talking to Trucy Wright and Valant.
In the Kristoph memory, the one where he has the black Psyche-locks, there is also a bottle on a table. Did you examine that?
Most of the things should be done in the past memory #4, the Drew Studio.

This moment amused me so I took a picture:

Thanks for the hints! I’ve worked out what was missing:

I needed to show Trucy’s locket to Zak to have a piece of info added to Thalassa’s profile. I thought I’d done that already, but I mustn’t have saved my game after. That info helped me break Valant’s final Psyche-Lock, and now two more scenes in the present have become available!

You’ll be shocked when you’ll find the truth about Thalassa

:open_mouth: :bangbang: I never saw that one coming!!

What an interesting finale! Naturally, I chose the good ending.
And then the bad one after, because I was curious. :smiling_imp:
And then I felt bad. :flushed:

I did the same thing!

Yes, me too!
Now you know the truth about Apollo and Trucy.
If you will play Ace Attorney 6 - spirit of Justice (3DS) the story will continue.

@tasse-tee you have to play the initial trilogy, now, correct?

Correct!

I’m leaning towards the 3DS version. I like having everything split between two screens. And on the Switch the graphics look… too new, to me.

Yeah, you can play it on DS or 3DS.
You know, my first Ace Attorney game I’ve ever played was the third one (Trials and Tribulations), then I played the second and the first one.
It’s a trilogy, after all, you must to play all of them to get the full whole story.
By the way, the graphics of the first one is a bit simple, so you may want to start with this one.

I remember you being amused that I was playing the games backwards. But it seems…

… you’ve been doing the same thing!!

Were they? I don’t really recall the upgraded DS version I played looking noticeably worse than the other two. Of course they’re worse looking than Apollo…
