Similar situation here: I knew only the (German version of the) refrain …
First time I heard it was in the Tiny Toons movie:
And in the german version they translated it to “Hopps, springt das Wiesel!”
I haven´t seen that movie in almost 25 years.
Stayed up last night until 3AM transcribing podcast #68. I got halfway through, I guess. I hope…
First time I listened to the podcast in its entirety on Monday evening, I fell asleep after 7 minutes and woke up 2 minutes before the end.
So you would recommend the podcast to all people who can’t sleep?
Noted, thanks!
In the EGA version he plays the weasel. In the FM-Towns, he plays the Raiders. At least, in the versions in my possession.
Best way then would be to use the classic graphics setting in the GOG version(which as far as I know is currently the only way to get the game legit), then.
But it’s a very expensive way…
Agreed. But I’d say if you replace step 1 with buy it on gog, it’s legit too. I did the same for Loom. I bought the VGA talkie version, then read about all the cut close-ups from the EGA version and then downloaded/played that. For scholar reasons.
Discourse is just jealous that we’re having all these fun conversations that it can’t join in with, because it’s an AI that only knows how to tell people how to talk to each other properly.
What do you do, then? @discobot display help
You might want to make a new thread for that, seeing as we all hijacked the other one
I currently know how to do the following things:
@discobot start new user
Starts one of the following interactive narratives: new user, advanced user.
@discobot roll 2d6
3, 6
@discobot quote
Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you — Princess Diana

You may rely on it

Don’t count on it
That dice roll mechanism could enable us to play our own online forum RPG together…
Start one in another thread!
I´ve seriously been thinking how one can do that.
There are several things that would be needed for that:
- Dice Rolls
- A creative DM
- Character sheets that can be edited and at least have to be visible to the DM
- A good fun group who´d be in for an adventure
That´s all really. There is a few problems stil but maybe it could be done somehow?
Which are these? You can make the first post a Wiki post, so all players can edit their character sheets there.
Hey, that´s a really good idea actually!
Next thing would be the rule set.
Chose one. Are there “Open Source” ones?
