Thanks! Yeah, they had all the information in that post, but it sort of left the question open as to whether walking away was faster than skipping other dialogue.
EDIT: Actually, it looks like that post thinks you need to Offer 2000, then 3000, then 4000, then 5000 for the full -1500. They might not have realized you could Offer 2000, then 5000 for the same effect.
I just finished playing Tales of Monkey Island, which was the only MI game I hadnât playedâŚ
I enjoyed it a lot, you get plenty of game for your money too. At first I wasnât sure about the graphics, but ended up liking them pretty quickly, about 20 mins in.
There were a few slower parts, and Chapter 4 had some bugs (at least on the GOG version I have) - it would crash in a few places and there was a part where you needed to click on a character, but the bug meant you couldnât click. But on the GOG forums for the game they have the info that you just need to delete a bunch of specific game files and it fixes it (there was one similar bug in Chapter 5 too).
Worth playing and also Morgan LeFlay is a lot more likeable than Elaine.
I wholeheartedly agree with your last sentence, with special emphasis on âa lotâ.
I am a-okay with being a minority voice for Team Elaine.
(Thatâs right, the Twilight films came out between 2009-2012. My wife had me watch them, and she had read the books. So the phrase âTeam Elaineâ was one I used when talking to her about my take on Tales.)
Indeed, it is strange that you need to delete a couple of files. If you donât, youâll get gamebreaking bugs in chapter 4 and 5.
I donât understand how those obviously worse then useless files ended up in the game. And I donât understand even less, why they are still there. The fix is well known, and GOG really should simply remove those files from the installers.
Iâm not sure if youâre still around here⌠but do you know anything about just before the Guybrush and Elaine romance scene: Guybrush sometimes says he needs to show the idol to the pirate leaders, but he SOMETIMES says he needs to get these fish out of his pants?
Some of us have found that he sometimes says one line and sometimes the other, but it doesnât seem dependent on whether youâve talked to the pirate leaders or not. Do you know if itâs randomized?
EDIT: Ah, kypello figured it out! If you say you were just taking the idol for a walk, then Guybrush will later give the line about fish in his pants. It was probably meant to be more strongly linked to whether you talked to the pirate leaders yet.
