Help!! I’ve lost my verbs!!! 
Oh, and they’re back again. Phew! I’ve figured out how to explore that room without being locked in the cell, but there seems to be nothing useful that I can do there. I can make the signal in the machine go the other way, but that has the same effect on me in the cell. Is there something else to be found? There’s a normal-looking map, and an empty cabinet.

That is a fine piece of the use of the verb UI! That’s also what I like about TWP with the different verbs you get for 
the machine going both directions ON… well… you’ll figure it out 
It’s just a joke that you cannot turn it OFF just like that. The nice thing about this game is that you are so close and yet so far. [/spoiler]A bit like you and me
