The real question is: How much are 600 dollars worth from the year three-thousand-something? Will there be inflation or deflation? Many wars will be fought…
In Milan. Here in Brescia the average price is 4 Euros, and it’s often used as a “meter” of comparison. “Hey, look, 6 euros for a pizza margherita? Tooooo expensive!”
No problem. There will be no money anymore, only rocks and sticks.
Wow.
The average price here for a margherita is 7-8 euros.
Indeed! I remember getting pizza in Rome for around 5000 L
Yeah, my hometown has always been the most expensive in the Country. When we swapped to euro, a margherita was about 7-8.000L, with the most expensive ones from 10 to 12.000 (like porcini mushrooms and prosciutto crudo, for example)
Well, a book that’s € 15 new now was about ƒ 2.50 back in the '50s (about € 1.15) so inflation-wise having $ 100 still being worth as much as ¢ 100 might be a bit optimistic…
It has been calculated that if some pizzeria sell pizzas for under €6.5 in Finland, there is almost certainly at least some grey economy involved.
In Cagliari you can get a margherita for 4 euro on average, but it’s not rare to find it at 3.50 or even 3.
Cagliari is pretty cheap.
Just had the most wonderful time with these guys. Annie and David are two wonderful persons, and I like them already very much. Hope to see you again @David! Thank you, Gute Nacht!
From left to right: Stephan, David, Annie, me, Erik.
David’s and my shirt have the same color!!
David has the same T-shirt he had when I met him for the first time!
We can say it’s the Official Thimbleweed Park Meeting T-Shirt
True story!
Or… he only has 3 T-shirts - the other two being the Zak McKracken and the Thimbleweed Park one - which must be the Official Official Thimbleweed Park Meeting T-shirt.
Unfortunately, we decided to bypass Munich on this trip… tomorrow we leave for the Black Forest for the rest of our trip… we wanted to explore more of the countryside. Maybe next time!
Make sure you have some appropriate and impractical means of navigation to not get lost in the forest.
Like breadcrumbs…
(USE stale loaf of bread in sink…)
Do we even have “garbage disposal units” in Europe? If I’d played Zak as a child I’d never have thought to do that except by random chance.
Ok, thank you for letting us know.
Hope to see you in Italy on September or November! (even if the odds are quite low)
Does he has to find a puddle and some radioactive water?
No, we don’t. When I was a teen, I discovered that by chance.
