You’re not a football fan, aren’t you?
It happened that Italy likes to break records, and after arriving last in the easiest group in 2010 and exiting hand in hand with England in what had been called the “group of death” for Costa Rica (who eventually came first in said group) in 2014, they asked themselves “hey, how can we top it this year?” and the answer was “not qualifying”.
USA also didn’t qualify for the first time in 30 years. Netherlands too, but that’s not too surprising: they are the weakest strong team ever (or the strongest weak team).
But, hey, we got newcomers Iceland and Panama, whose goalkeeper, Penedo, roughly sounds like that body part in Italian, just to confirm @milanfahrnholz ’s theory that everything sounds like a dirty Italian word.

Right!

newcomers Iceland
Weren’t they in the European Cup? I remember the commentary making jokes that 10% of the Icelandian population (or footballers) are in the national team.
Ah, germany are playing sunday afternoon. Maybe I watch it and stream myself watching it (without picture or sound to avoid legal problems)…

The Swiss-Italian TV channel has a whatsapp number where you can send videos of yourself doing commentary. But it has to be in Italian I’m thinking of doing one, I’ve always loved to do football commentary.
They were. And they were newcomers in that one also. And they were great. Did you see the video of the Icelandic commentator when they scored the winning goal at the last minute againt Austria that let them pass group stage?
That´s a fun idea. However any kind of commentary I would do, wouldn´t make much sense I guess. No matter the language.

I usually do commentary for… my daughters changing their clothes. I present it as a race between the two. They don’t lose time, when it’s a race
Gffp:
Now I want to see that!
I think I’ll record myself on Saturday, for , as an old friend of mine is visiting and he’s always been my partner in football watching and commenting

Just use Georgia and pretend that the crosses are just your eyes working badly.
It also works for Sardinia if you imagine the crosses to be black heads.
