The surprisingly addictive “Hidden Folks”, an interactive point and click spin on “where’s waldo/wally?” in black and white is available for free on Epic for a week.
It’s a game I finished on mobile (which is a lot harder I guess)
A special giveaway offer organised by yours truly: I have an extra GOG code for the D&D Ravenloft series, which I already own there.
So if you are into D&D and old school (mid 90s DOS) CRPG games: send me a PM where you answer these three simple questions:
what is your favourite character class and why?
auto-map or pen and graph paper?
why do you deserve this code?
I’ll pick the winner from the answers showing the highest motivation to actually play the games. The raffle is open until end of September, so that everyone interested has a chance to react.
Triple treat this week, with the Epic Store giving away Monument Valley 2, The Battle of Polytopia (turn-based strategy) and Ghostrunner 2 (cyberpunk first-person slasher).
Absolutely. Though I would assume that they do get some compensation from Epic. At least they get extra publicity, and perhaps people will buy some of their other games, instead of hoping they’ll be available for free next .
Anyway, I am also often conflicted when games are discounted. If a game is not 100% my thing, but looks interesting enough to try at least, I might not want to spend 20€ or even just 15€. But then when it’s 75% off, I feel it wouldn’t be fair to pay only 5€ or 3€. In the end, my wishlist grows and devs get nothing.
