Just released adventure games

5 hours into the game… for me this is the best game since TWP. Great puzzles, integrated with the story; great pace, great atmospheric setting, gives you a real sense of adventure; not linear; not verbose; not too easy; every aspect is prefectly balanced. 10/10.

That looks fantastic! Now I wish the rainy and cold weather would continue for a bit …

It wasn’t on my list, but I couldn’t resist. For Linux on GOG with hi-res graphics, just the thing I was looking for .

I was looking forward to Irony Curtain, but I think I’ll wait for impressions, given that the graphics and the overall mood it creates is not exactly attractive to me…

Your early review and checking out the website has sold me. I purchased the developer Cloak and Dagger games bundle on Steam, as well as the Collectors Edition of Sumatra for a sum total of $12.11 USD. I look forward to checking them out tonight possibly, or if not, this weekend!

And now Photographs has been released on itch.io!

That’s a lot of responsibility  I hope I won’t let you down.

As an aside, I was thinking about purchasing it based on the review as well and it’s also available on itch.io (but for more money?):

Both have 10% discount at the moment and cost about the same.

The problem is that you can’t get soundtrack, art book and Pendek on itch.io :frowning:

Oh, you’re right. @seguso had linked to the special edition DLC.

On the plus side, I suppose you could get the base game from Itch, which says it also comes with a Steam key.

I don’t understand why things like artbook and soundtrack generally require a base game anyway. There are various soundtracks I might buy if I didn’t have to buy the game it goes along with. All hail TWP!

I was waiting for Sumatra to show up on GOG or itch.io to purchase it.
But the itch.io page says “Your purchase comes with a Steam key”. Does anyone know whether it is DRM free or not??

It doesn’t explicitly say so, but the 171 MB Sumatra Fate of Yandi v1.0.zip file is probably DRM-free.

In order to download this game you must purchase it at or above the minimum price of $5.84 USD. Your purchase comes with a Steam key. You will get access to the following files:

Sumatra Fate of Yandi v1.0.zip 171 MB

So, the Steam key is an extra?

Yup. I just bought it. The app from the zip file runs like a charm in Wine.

Thanks for the advice!

Oops. I erred!

These ones are old, but has anyone played them? I’ve just discover them and I wonder if they are worth it…

  1. Clam Man is out. I recall I had tried the demo and it was particularly funny.

however, before I buy it, I am waiting for impressions , because of limited time

  1. I got Nelly Cootalot - spoonbeaks ahoy because it looks like something I can play with my daughter (6 year old). Not as suitable as Chuchel though.
