Maniac Mansion released on Steam

I’ve just checked, and Syd is a keen musician trying to start his own band. Razor is in a band, called Razor and the Scumettes. Hm, maybe one of those should listen to the demo tape… *goes off to try that*

“…writers musicians and game designers.” So maybe I need to post the demo, not the manuscript?

What do you reckon that will achieve?

They’ll publish it (because they publish anything), and the green tentacle will be happy and help me.

Edit: though, it’d take a long time to get there. Poetic licence?

Video game realism. You´re also playing for a few hours now and the sun hasn´t still come up.

Do you have siblings? If not imagine what might have been one of the first things you would have done had you found their room unattended.

Also about the telescope when you have all the coins you have enough to turn it all the way in the wrong direction and then back again in the right direction.

Don’t you help now too much? (Because Kate stated above that she won’t much help…?) Or is this kind of help Ok, @PiecesOfKate ?

I think that is the most I´ll say for now, but yes that might be a tad bit too close.

BTW and don´t read the spoiler text here @PiecesOfKate:

Is possible to open the piggybank by breaking it with an object? I think she might take an unneccesary amout of time trying to find something to open it with when all she has to is “open” it which doesn´t seem to make much sense?

Assuming you’re talking about the moneybank, I can’t get the coins out :sob:

I’m not reading that for now.

Aye, but no more hints for now I think.

Also I’m going a bit cross-eyed. I’m going to put this aside for a bit!

WAY easier than you think.

No, don’t let them misguide you. You just chose the “cool kids” mode. My favourite too. Though I must admit I never finished the game with that (or any other combination) until years/decades later, using a walk through for some parts
But surely, Ron & Gary wouldn’t have been that sadistic to allow unwinnable combinations.

Now you misguide her! No, there are no unwinnable combinations from the start.

The hamster did it!

Now you confuse me! You mean unwinnable game states? I don’t see how that relates to kid combinations? If not from the start, you can reach a dead end with any kid combination too. (Admittedly, some combinations allow for more or less errors before having no alternatives)

All of this is true and I haven´t said anything contradicting that. An important thing to know would be if the steam version has the packages with the items appearing next to the tombstones, not all version have that (or was that only deluxe? I don´t remember).

Sounds deluxe to me, never saw that in the wild.

Interesting, I never thought much about the gameplay changes they did for that version. The only other thing I can think of is having to open the paint remover and using it with the brush first before you can use it with the stain on the wall. Which makes a lot more sense than just using the thing as is.
