It´s not quite over though, what do you reckon you´re missing now?
Yeah I can see that. The spoiler bit I accidentally read earlier makes sense now.
Whoops!
You still have what is probably the most complicated puzzle chains of the game ahead of you. It´s not quite unlike the radio tower puzzle in Thimbleweed Park, really.
It is also connected with one of the meanest dead ends in the game(at least in the character combination you´re playing with). You can avoid that by remembering a puzzle from Thimbleweed Park, though. Just don´t hasten to do anything even if it seems the obvious thing to do. Take a step back and ask yourself if there is a more elegant way to do it.
Thanks for the warning, I shall take heed.
Now you can, just for fun, start a new game and try this again.
Hm. I’m guessing there’s a different outcome if you do that at the start then?
Oh no don´t let him confuse you! All that what happen is that you won´t be able to open the grate as you haven´t trained yet.
Well I just meant ‘outcome’ as in immediate outcome, not the game ending. Though I had wondered if Edna would jump out from it or something, heh.
I got that, but no in any case. I like that idea though.
Don’t tell her everything!
I’m going to have to try it at some point in case one or both of you are having me on!

Now you can, just for fun, start a new game and try this again.
That’s the way we used to play it back then. Just restart and try out other stuff and notice things you have overlooked and start connecting the dots.

What´s the most important goal?
Pressing the big red button, right?
That’s the instant win option.

Don’t tell her everything!
Sorry, of course knowing that ruins the whole game experience.

I’m going to have to try it at some point in case one or both of you are having me on!
It´s time to look deep inside of yourself and ask you: “Who of those guys do I trust less?”
Question: do I need to open the file drawers (in the developer room) at any point?
I think that I do (envelope? photos?), and that I’m missing something that will let me do that, but I’m getting stuck and don’t want to hang on that thought if it’s irrelevant!

Question: do I need to open the file drawers (in the developer room) at any point?
Answer: No they can´t be opened and are of zero use, don´t waste your time.
Pro Tip: Unless you have Michael on your team the entire room is irrelevant.
Meh, I read the pro tip before you spoilered it but thanks, I’ll ignore that room from now on. I did the thing with the sponge and everything!
I’m at one of those frustrating points where I think I know what I need to do, but I don’t seem to have the means to do it. I think I need to get the tube from the old-fashioned radio and use it in the upstairs one, but no one has any tech knowledge. I’m guessing the tentacle who likes rock music might be able to help, but I’m still trying to work out how. Is that along the right lines?

… but no one has any tech knowledge.
You gave yourself the solution.
Pro Tip (solution): Without Bernard you can’t take the tube.

Meh, I read the pro tip before you spoilered it
I was actually thinking if I should use the tags in this case at all.

Is that along the right lines?
No. Concentrate on your parties skills and keep the greater goal in mind. Befriend the tentacle and try to get inside the lab.

Concentrate on your parties skills
I think this is the most important tip to all Maniac Mansion players. Or in other words: There are several puzzles that you can only solve if you have a kid with the needed abilities.
