Name a thing! Name the game!

Next thing to search in a famous point’n’click adventure:

nine syllables

Ask for hints…

Hmm… It’s way too late to matter now, but was the phone company in the game named after a real phone company?

Oops! Sorry, Caven, I’m understanding only now that requirement. :frowning: The phone company in “Tunguska” is not a real-life company.

No clues for a classic point’n’click adventure which has nine syllables in its inventory?

OK, hint #1:
it’s an adventure not made by Lucasfilm. It was published in the '90s. Classic point’n’click adventure, with demential humor.

So, just to understand it correctly: this is not an object with a name composed by nine syllables; these are actual syllables. Right?

Exactly. In the inventory, you have some objects, and nine of those are named “xxx syllable”, “yyy syllable”, “zzz syllable” and so on (substitute xxx, yyy, zzz with adjectives)

Hint #2:

the game was published by SIERRA, but the producer is a French software house.

I’m pretty sure I have never played this specific game.

Hint #3 (mixed images from the game)

I’ve never seen it.

Here is the solution:

For who did not play it, it’s considered a sort of sequel of Goblins, Gobliins and Gobliiins.

@LowLevel I strongly suggest you to download this CD version, with italian voices, fully compatible with ScummVM, since it’s not on sale anymore!
This game is very hilarious, in italian even more, because of the regional dialects voices included!

I don’t think that I know that game. Thanks for the link.

@ZakPhoenixMcKracken : so, what’s the next “thing”? :slight_smile:

I would like to win a round and pass the host role to Caven, who I have erroneously deprived of his right to continue.

Oh, right.

Next thing: a robot called JOEY

Well, thank you for being so generous to give me an easy one.

The game is Beneath a Steel Sky and Joey is the robot of the protagonist.

Now it’s @Caven’s turn to choose a thing, if he wants to join us again.

Woodruff! A friend of mine had it on CD, I never played it, but I remember wanting to play it real bad  good to know there’s an abandonware scummvm italian edition, it might be good to play it with my daughter

Play it, you will laugh al lot!
Especially with italian voices.
Search on youtube “Woodruff and the schnibble of Azimuth ITA” to get a preview!
Turn your audio ON

Here’s a two-for one deal:

The original question still stands regarding an in-game advertisement for a phone company that exists in real life.

But as an extra added additional bonus at no extra added additional charge, the extra added additional item is a needle in a haystack.

Only one of the two items is necessary to be eligible to name the next thing.

The Wispered World!!!
I don’t remember the in-game advertisement for a phone company…

You didn’t say where in the game the needle in a haystack is, but some research reveals that there is in fact one in The Whispered World. You get to pick the next item.
