Probably nobody cares about this, but: I kinda stopped reading this topic because now I don’t want any more speculations or half spoilers. I just want the damn game!
@Guga I’ll have to send spoilers to you privately then…
Wow wow wow…
Ok. Now they HAVE to give us a release date on the 23rd.
I don’t see how they couldn’t at this point.
Of course they will, but it might be false or ambiguous like the previous ones.
Why do you think so? Ron has presented TWP at several occasions
before he revealed the release date. And I don’t see why they have to give us a release date at that event.
Timing-wise, it would make sense if the game does come out in 2022. End of August/October is a good windows for indie games. November/December are usually when the big AAA games are coming out. Tough competition.
And It’s better to announce a release date two weeks to a month before the game does come out.
It’s also a big event. I think it would be the perfect time for him to announce it.
Besides, Ron is already presenting clips of the game every Monday.
This is definitely a step up.
I wonder if Ron will actually go to Cologne or if he will attend Gamescon virtually.
True.
Then, according to this timing, the release date would be announced in Cologne only if they have decided to release the game in September, right?
Nothing new or unexpected, but Ron has confirmed on which games of the franchise RtMI will be mainly based on:
Frank Cifaldi of The Video Game History Foundation is the new host of the legends of adventure games panel at PAX West
I don’t know if Jane Jensen will ever make another adventure game, but I would love a sequel to Grey Matter.
I don’t really know why that game mesmerized me so much, it’s not even considered “one of the best adventure games ever made” or anything, but the settings, the plot and the soundtrack reached me in ways that other games didn’t.
By the way, people, is there a sequel to any game that would make you excited even more than RtMI?
Actually there’s one: a sequel to Fate of Atlantis
Something like Desperados 4.
No. I would like to see new games with fresh stories and new characters.
I have to add that I don’t like sequels at all. But it’s nice to have games in the same universe. For example I wouldn’t want a Fate of Atlantis II, but I would be interested in a new Indy adventure game.
I came up with too many sequels that would make me more excited than RtMI: Indy 3, Ultima VII, Red Dead Redemption 2, Kathy Rain, Freddy Pharkas, Pandora Directive and Thimbleweed Park.
By “Fate of Atlantis sequel” of course we mean another Indiana Jones game, with a different story (but same art style and mechanics)
None more so than RtMI but man, oh man, would I ever love to see Jane Jensen given the opportunity to make a Gabriel Knight 4.
But, but… Indy 3, Ultima VII and The Pandora Directive already have sequels?
