Since 2000 I’ve always been, very critical of the Italian national team. But that match was perfect and even I - a long time Germany supporter - ended up rooting for the azzurri.
Well, it was like the last time 
after winning the WC, it was all downhill. Out at group stage in 2010, out at group stage in 2014, not even qualified in 2018. What a great time to be Italian
