Strange food you should really give a try

I actually remember a “Raider” back in the eighties.

Was it 1981 and were it several and were they raiding an ark that was lost?

Ok, I’m officially starving now…

Pop Tarts are about $7 a box here.
But with the shipping costs, fugettabout it.

So they are ridiciously expensive everywhere?

£2.70 in UK supermarkets, for strawberry or chocolate (400g).

That translates to less than half the price, that sounds a lot more reasonable to me! And it is also exactly the same to flavour we get here too, but for more than double the money.

You should get Pop Tarts at several Rewe, Real and Karstadt stores. I’ll have a look if they have them in my stores, but they seem to cost round about 4,50 Euros.

The only ones I ever see are at Edeka stores where they have dedicated shelves that only carry import stuff that is usually a bit more pricey because of that. They have stuff like Hot Dog Relish, Cheese Sauce, Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows, Cup Cakes, Hershey´s Chocolate Sauce, Maple Syrup and Pop Tarts in those shelves.

Unfortunately everything is ridiculously expensive in New York City, so I’m probably not a good example.

I gave my kids a pop tarp for the first time a couple weeks ago, now they’re asking for them every weekend. :man_facepalming:

uhmmmmmmm.

Guess what this pic reminds me?

vomit

yes, partially digested italian food

I love Ristorante pizzas - they do a great garlicky mushroom one. I want to try those weird ones now! Don’t think England has them though.

Send one over with my white Twixes, please.

Oh yes…

But not half as scary!

Sure, should better do that anyway to make shipping worthy. May just as well throw in some “continental sized” Toblerones while I´m at it.

To be fair I intentionally picked a very unflattering pic to make the joke work. I had to search a while though. I still enjoy him in everything these days.

He’s the real batman for a lot of us as well.
