Are. In fact in my hometown we have a 24/7 shop that goes around closing time laws by never being attended by anyone. It´s just an always open room in a buys pedestrian area street that is full of vending machines that carry all sorts of every day needs you may need in the after hours. Also pizza. The machines are protected by surveillance cameras.

Here in Italy there are no pizza machines (it sounds like an insult), so I’ve never tried one of them, but now… I’m curious!
Search on YouTube for “pizza vending machines” and you will get several videos with different machines. The two videos I provided above were just the first two results. 
I’ve never seen one (here) and I’m not sure if I would try them …
Of course! People who are constructing pizza vending machines would put french fries (aka chips) on their pizza!

Hm… this machine looks clean, but I’m still not sure if I would use it. I’m a little bit skeptic about machines where each single product isn’t wrapped again. For example these “fresh made orange juice” machines are looking not very hygienic …
Me too - but no pizza available here at the moment… 
Most of those are though.
To be frank if it was 3 in the morning and I was shitfaced walking through town I wouldn´t give a hoot.

Well, that’s the problem: I’m not sure if I would like to use the vending machine after somebody replaced the hot pizza with his last breakfast… 
(And gladly I never walked shitfaced through town. Actually I was never drunk.)

I’ve seen strange things involving eaten food on Saturday nights. Especially after football matches…
Well, sometimes I would be glad to miss several events in my life … 
So how do they managed to inject the whatever into the vending machines?
The vending machines I saw: Through the dispenser.
Okay, yeah that may taking anything out from that anymore difficult even if it went unharmed until then.
Well in our case I guess they hope the presences of the surveillance cameras will be discouriging enough.
