That’s an interesting one. That really makes me think that you feel like you tried (or are trying) to do something good (and very conscientiously), but it went (or will go) wrong.

No, I was saying maybe he feels like if he does something good it will go wrong. Not that it definitely will.

It´s not that I wasn´t giving her the benefit of a doubt(I think I know her well enough now to judge things like that at least). It really read a bit odd. That´s why I wanted to point that out.
