Obviously it’s time to play a new game. ![]()
There’s a new Skatebird demo on Steam for the week.
Hi everyone, it’s 4.48 a.m.
I should sleep, but I can’t
Oh, I’ve just discovered how to choose the skin colour

What if I have the skin from the first and the hair from the last? These emojis are discriminating

Hmmm…

Yeah. Should at least be counting
s.
Yeah, counting.

See ya!
Since September 2020, every night I woke up at 4 a.m.
Even if I go to sleep early or late, it doesn’t matter.
Then I stayed awake for about 1 hour, before sleeping again.
Tonight is different. I can’t sleep from the beginning. It’s 2 a.m., I’m in bed from 3 hours now.
And I don’t know why.
Well, lucky it’s Saturday, I can recover during the day…
every night I woke up at 4 a.m.
I don’t know how this phenomenon is called in psychology, but if you focus on this time (for example if you think of it every time you are going to bed) your brain will wake you up in the night. It’s like setting a human alarm clock.
You can test this if you speak out loud several times a day the sentence “I won’t wake up at 2 o’clock and I won’t think about Santa Clause”. In most cases you will more or less exactly wake up at 2 a.m. … ![]()
Your problem is similar/from the same kind: You know that you won’t like to wake up at 4 a.m. So your brain will wake up and think: “What was at 4 a.m.?”. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution to “interrupt” this. Maybe you could say to yourself: “I wake up at 4 a.m. - so what.”
Fun fact: It doesn’t matter if we wake up in the night (for a short moment!). You can even go to the bathroom without disturbing your sleep and recovery.
