Wrong aspect ratio

I have noticed that the Android version is optimized for 16:9 screens, because the most Android device support such aspect ratio. So, installing the Android version on my Galaxy Tab S2, which is a 4:3 screen, I get those annoying black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, which make the game area much smaller than the full screen and also make the game experience worse than on iPad, which has the same 4:3 aspect ratio as my device, but supports fullscreen game (I suppose, looking screenshots on the internet).
I was wondering if there will be a game version which will be fully supported by Android 4:3 screens like mine, and I think it should be similar to that seen on the iPad.

The iPad is also letterboxed. The art is all hand drawn pixel art and it’s fixed at 16:9, so we letterbox on all devices (some Macs are 16:10 and are letterboxed).
