Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders playthrough and hints

Had we had that technique in 1990 we would have done it that way even back then.

People really have a tendency to go overboard with @tasse-tee these days.

I replayed up to the point where I was before, on the C64 version this time, but I haven’t reached any breakthroughs. The stewardess doesn’t even care that the sink is clogged.

I was thinking of using the knife on the egg or something to create a bigger mess (since the newspaper seems to spell out that you should do so) but the plane already landed in Seattle, so I’ll focus on that first.

I already tried it (unless there’s more than the one reasonably obvious thing), from behind the safety of a save game. Pretty cruel.

Memorising in your head? That would be crazy!
But have you considered writing it down on your phone? I’d rather write 1234 then make a video of some guy entering a code on a keypad which I would have to play back in its entirety.

But you are thinking in the right way.

You mean numbering the panels/dancers heads? Yeah that would work, too. But the video thing works real fast.

And there are many ways to do it

OMG, just think of those poor precious bytes wasted vs. my method! :exploding_head:

Spoiler alarm! Please hide your spoilerish spoilers in this thread.

Short question to all of you who have played or are playing the FM Towns version: I have the impression that some scenes and things are running faster than in the other versions. For example in the intro sequence Zak is running really fast. Is this correct? Or do I have to tweak the ScummVM options?

ScummVM seems to have a tendency to do that. The C64 runs WAY too fast on ScummVM(the sounds of the footsteps just feel wrong).

And it shows some lines only for a millisecond…

Well, that´s not good.

I will start playing the FM towns version this evening. It’s 25 degrees and sunny outside, you bunch of pale skinned computer geeks!
