Nick Kamen passed away.
I liked his songs in the 80’s.

There is an anecdote regarding him, and one of his performance in Italy.
It was the year 1988, and during a summer musical TV show (ā€œFestivalbarā€) set in Verona, he sung one of his hits, ā€œTell Meā€.
During the performance, suddenly a beautiful girl avoided the security and jumped on the stage, hugging and kissing Nick Kamen, who surprised continued to sing (he was in playback).

You can see the whole performance in this video.
The girl jumps in at 3:14.

Today’s Doodle is for Avicii (Tim Bergling), died in 2018 at age 28.
His songs are still in our ears, I’m sure, just to name a few:

  • The nights (ā€œā€¦He said: One day you’ll leave this world behind, so live a life you will rememberā€)

  • Wake me up (ā€œā€¦So wake me up when it’s all over, when I’m wiser and I’m older, all this time I was finding myself, and I didn’t know I was lost.ā€)

  • Waiting for love (ā€œā€¦And if there’s love in this life, there’s no obstacle that can’t be defeatedā€)

  • Levels (instrumental)

… and many others.

The wife of one my best friends died in a traffic accident 6 months ago.
I’ve been so down ever since that I couldn’t bother with reading -let alone posting- on the forum; in case you wondered where I’d gone off to.
This is my first step in reconnecting with my online friends here who I have been neglecting.

That’s sad. Time, and a good attitude, eventually heal most of the wounds. I like to think that the essence of a person is somewhat partially preserved within people who knew him/her. I also like to think about the immortality of soul, but that’s another story. I hope you and your friend may move on and think of the future. Anyway very good suggestions from the guys up here.
