A two player parser adventure game :
already out: A Lively Haunt on Steam
Have you played it? Does that work?
I haven’t! I think it needs two people on the same PC with two keyboards
(not completely sure)
I finished my game!
It’s called “Pirate Theme Park: A Short Adventure” and features an unnamed protagonist who must wander the theme park trying to break the spell he’s under.
Here is the trailer -
The game is available on Itchio at the relatively reasonable price of $5.99 -
Vlad Circus is out! From the creators of Nine Witches (an adventure game of quality equal to LucasArts games). This one has the same high quality atmosphere, but is not a pure/traditional adventure game.
…it’s turning out to be one of the greatest adventure games of all time, just like Nine Witches. Incredible atmosphere and excellent puzzles.
Neither was Nine Witches with the shooting stuff… which I personally didn’t mind. I’m definitely getting Vlad, Nine Witches was terrific.
Three Minutes To Eight:
I agree. The train vibe made me think of another pixel-art game, currently under development, which I have shared a while back. A demo is available:
That’s great! Can’t wait to try it!
I still have to play Nine Witches, which you suggested to me some time ago.
Let us know your impressions, if you manage to play it. In the end I slightly preferred Nine Witches because it is open-world and has these huge maps where you can see the entire world with your character being very small. It really reminds me a lot of Indiana Jones 3. However, it has some rushed and cliché dialogues in the second half. On the other hand, Vlad Circus is a game, if we want to call it that, without flaws, but it’s not open-world. Both games excel in puzzles. In Vlad, the puzzle difficulty level is high but very well balanced.
How is this Loco Motive related to this Loco Motive?
Looks like the “new” Loco Motive has better graphics?
The one you shared is the original 2 week AdvXJam project and is a short game. For some reason, to me it felt like a single episode of a larger story.
After the jam, the developers formed their development studio to create a full game, which is the thing that will be released next year.
Ah, cool! I enjoyed the AdvXJam project - AFAIR it had a (satisfying) end…
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the “larger” games. Thanks for the link!
I had my eyes on The Invincible for quite a while, and it’s out now.
Not pixel art this time (and not a classic P&C adventure either), but I think the retro-futuristic look is amazing nonetheless. Hope the gameplay matches the appearance! I’d expect an experience similar to Firewatch, but can’t tell for sure.
And it seems there’s yet another novel by Stanislaw Lem I need to read. The question is before or after playing … ?
The adventures of the Black Hawk is out!
The gameplay feels exacly like monkey1/2, though the setting is different
I can’t wait to play this one, it looks amazing
I haven’t found it on Itch or Gog - so it’s available on Steam only?
