Sorry to hear it got cancelled, it did take most of the day to see the cave when I was there so maybe you’re better off. We spent about 4 hours on the boat waiting for the water to be calm enough, then waiting for our turn on the rowboat.
I passed up the chance to see Pompei that day and chose Capri just because it was so hot there in August.

I’ll post some stuff about Pompeii tomorrow. And re @Gffp’s recommendations that he made, as I kept referring to those really helpful notes while we were there. I’ve also got more photos I’d like to share.
