In a few days Devolver Digital will held their summer showcase and some articles (like this one or this one) speculate/hope that the publisher will disclose something related to Return to Monkey Island.

Mmm, so recording is still going on, and still needs to be put in the game, making a summer release look less likely.

I have to agree, sadly. TWP required about three additional months after the recording, so an optimistic estimate would be not sooner than August. Still summer, but at this point it would make more sense to choose a date in September.
Maybe we’ll know next week!

Unpopular opinion probably, but I’m rooting for a Nov/Dec release date. Thing is, since I moved to Canada, winters here are so so cold… and long. So whenever it’s not winter, you have to be out doing outdoorsy stuff… not much time left to be inside enjoying adventure games. So for me RtMI as a Christmas present is just as good as it gets
