Amberg?
Welcome to the club!
Throw in a ‘B’ and then follow the river about 30km west.
Ach, a Bamberchä!

Are Wine Gums actually made from wine?
That would make them really strange food to me
Anyway, back to chicory, @frenzie, I find it a strange food since the variety I showed has the aspect of plain wild grass. And it has such a bitter taste, that any sane person who decides to pick it up and taste it would guess it isn’t edible, if not poisonous.
But if you know how to cook it, it could be very pleasant. Anyway that variety is “puntarelle” how it is known in central and southern Italy, or “catalogna” how it is known in northern Italy.
No, they are actually “fruit gums”.
But you can get wine gums made of real wine (= with alcohol). They are rare, but you can get them (and I like them).
/edit: Yes, I am aware that I’m not @PiecesOfKate and @milanfahrnholz.
I didn’t mean to be exclusive.
Anyway, I’m glad to hear about your level of self consciousness.
And even then we are actually TWO different persons. Even if it´s sometimes hard to tell.
Wasn´t that about an ex-con marrying into a family and the woman not being sure if he really changed his ways (which turned out that he didn´t)?
Yeah, but don’t go too much into it
I’m sorry, it was just the title and the mood that fitted.
EDIT: Anyway, as far as we know, you could be an ex-con who disguises as a nice English girl
You mean similar to Brangelina? PiecesofFahrnholz?
Just like that, except not at all.
As Someone said they’re not made with wine, but they’re flavoured like it. There are different ones of different colours, with the flavours printed on them - I like the red port ones
I’ve never seen it. Wikipedia says it’s hard to get in the Netherlands and Belgium. There’s no source, but I believe it!
They are? I’m kind of glad my wine doesn’t taste anything like wine gums tbh.
Well yeah, very loosely nice if you don’t want to stretch to a chocolate liqueur. Or you know, an actual drink.
This reminds me of the 80’s trend with chewing gum that tastes like an actual drink. I remember Gatorade gum, and Root Beer gum, which I think was discussed as disgusting in a previous post.
When I left London back in ‘04 I had a bunch of spare coins (but not enough to be worthy of exchanging them when I got home) so I spent them all on wine gums and assorted candy. That was fun!
Kind of ironic, since Root Beer kind of tastes like drinkable gum to begin with.
I disagree. But I grew up with it, so maybe my taste buds evolved differently.
Also there are many different brands of root beer, and they taste very different. Mug is the worst and A&W or Hires is probably my favorite.
I also remember Dr.Pepper gum. It was pretty gross, though at the time I fooled myself into thinking it was awesome.
