I actually have no idea how we even managed to get this cat. There was one person who visited Nushi the day prior, in order to potentially adopt her, and for some reason decided not to!
She was clearly very happy to see us. She started cooing like that within 20, maybe 30 seconds after we met. It was like, how could you not adopt this incredibly cute furball?
Oh, I beg your pardon, ladies!
The grandma is Celestina, because her eyes are light blue, which is celeste in italian.
The grey cat is Selvatica, which means “wild”, because she doesn’t want to be cuddled.
Then, the black cat is Nerina (“nero” means “black”).
And now the newbies: the red one is Tigro, which means “tiger”.
The other little cats are still too young, we didn’t decide a name for them, yet.
Haha, aw That actually sounds a lot like Sam when he purrs. My friend said recently he sounds like a bird but I’d never thought about it like that before. It’s more high-pitched when he tilts his head back and it gets really squeaky. I think it’s partly because he has some breathing issues.
How do cats even make those sounds like that “Oh, Long Johnson” cat from that youtube meme years ago? I heard some only do that when the feel really uncomfortable or frightened.
This wasn’t as pigeon-like as she can be, I suppose. But sometimes you’ll have a couple of pigeons cooing outside and her inside and you can barely tell the difference.
Leksi was making some magpie noises back at magpies at some point too, but mostly she just makes Leksi noises.
Kuma only meows, mostly when she wants food. She’s pretty obnoxious about it actually. Starts hanging around on your desk, meowing at you, etc.
