It´s not that far off, his is april 3rd.
Give me an english text of that and I promise I will narrate that in a Werner Herzog voice.
Sorry, I don’t remember in THAT great detail
By the way, my dream today was food-driven. I was: buying indian food in a street market, looking for a seat in a Burger King, desperately wanting a deep-fried dürum kebab (now I want it in real life too), being disappointed by a microwave puff pastry pizza while everyone around me was eating actual pizza, and watching a girl argue with her boyfriend because her birthday cake, baked by him, was only icing and no cake, and there was a used bra in the icing.
I didn’t dream anything tonight (nothing that I can remember, though).
But I have to clear my voice, now.
Ahem.
Spirit of Reyes, come over me!!!
I had a dream last night! Here’s what I can remember about it.
I was in an old town with cobbled streets. The whole experience was very ordered - it reminded me of exhibitions in museums where you watch a story unfold, and you walk from one part of the exhibit to the next to watch / hear each part.
I started off in a shop, holding a book of old bank notes and looking through it. I could hear someone talking in the background, probably some kind of narration, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. I was wondering if they would mind if I took one of the notes - I like to collect interesting coins and notes in real life.
Then I was in another shop, looking down at another book, this time with old photographs of people.
Later on I was outside in the street, watching children running around and chasing each other. In the distance I could see a group of houses shrouded in a mysterious mist, and I thought - I can’t get over there, because I haven’t satisfied a certain condition. As if this experience was part of a videogame. I wanted to go back in the first shop with the banknotes as well, but all those shops were closed, and the lights were off.
And that’s about it. I don’t think it means anything, but…
… hey, what’s happening to @ZakPhoenixMcKracken?!
Perhaps this dream means that you’re longing for something that’s out of your reach.
I laughed at the last part - but did you find it funny at the time, or did it make you sad?
Bwahahahawaahaa!!!
That laugh… it sounds so familiar, and yet so out of character…
There can only be one explanation!!
Reyes has turned into a demon and possessed Zak! EVERYBODY RUN!!!
That’s what happens when you don’t use a sieve!
Hooray!
It sounds a bit Dickensian I like ones where you slowly walk around exploring (a nice break from stress dreams). I don’t think it means much either since you seem quite relaxed in it.
Wait… what’s he doing there with his father’s pocket watch? Oh no… he’s going to put the UK clocks forward by TWO hours tomorrow instead of one!
Yeah, although I was quite disappointed that I couldn’t go to the places I wanted to at the end.
Say it ain’t so! One hour of lost sleep is bad enough!!
Meh, I can think of worse things he could have done with it…
HAHAHA
But I wasn’t there! Or was I?
Do you buy them or do you just keep them if you found one?
Were they familiar to you? And do you had a good feeling or was it uncomfortable?
But as we talk about books: Last night I dreamed that I was in a bookstore searching for a German classic book. I opened it and began to read the story. @PiecesOfKate: Can this be considered as a dream in a dream?
Come over to Germany. Here you’ll lose only one hour.
?
You´re slowly starting to loose all remaining bits of subtlety.
I can’t remember which book it was, but it was similar to one of those from the Reclam publishing house (but it wasn’t one of those books because it had a white cover).
I get money from my local tourist office …
Could be a suhrkamp then. Those were usally rather simplistic in design(also I believe orange reclam books are in foreign languages).
I think that’s just a vivid dream. It’s unusual to do dedicated, immersive things like that though - I guess it’s close to lucid dreaming. I think it’s considered not possible because the part of the brain that reads isn’t accessible in dreaming, supposedly. Did you actually read discernible sentences or was it just the sense that you read something?
I began to read and imagined the/a story that actually made sense. AFAIR after a few sentences I still hold the book in my hands but I haven’t actually read the words while the story was going on. Similar to a movie where the narrator starts reading and then the movie shows what’s happening. (Hm… does that makes sense…? )
I don´t think it´s really possible to actually process letters and words in dreams. Most sources say that realising that you cannot do that can make you realise that you are in a dream.
Anyone seen this film? It covers a lot of topics on lucid dreaming.
Yes, did you see a flashback dissolve, too?
No, unfortunately I wake up.
